Are you a bonus whore?
Or perhaps a fish?
There are many poker terms that people are bitching about. When one is new to poker it can be difficult to
understand what they talk about. What!?? You calling me a whore? Take that you misfit! is a scene that often takes place when poker players
meet, sadly enough due to misunderstandings. It is sad because misunderstandings are often cleared up in time and
a fight can be avoided, thereby robbing spectators of entertainment in the form of a bloody fight between two
thin and unshaved poker players.
You bore me, got anything to say?
Indeed I have, as usual when you read what I write you get value for your time.
A bonus whore is a person who systematically plays at different poker sites only to get bonuses.
This can be very profitable as clearing a bonus can often yield more than $10 extra per hour.
This greatly increases the profitability of their playing time but it is also frowned upon by the poker rooms who
of course want players that stay with them. To call them bonus whores is suitable since one gets a feeling that this is a little ugly.
Still there is nothing wrong with taking advantage of bonuses. If you read our reviews of poker rooms in the menu
you'll see that there are many dollars to be made and perhaps you'll like one of the poker rooms so much that you stay there.
When you read this you might think that bonus whores are happy people with not a trouble in the world,
but bonus whoring can be a little troublesome too. To find new bonuses and depositing money, cashing out and so forth can
be time consuming and at some less known poker rooms they might have problems with cash outs and so on.
This extra time could have been used playing at their favourite site against their preferred opposition.
Instead they are always playing at new poker rooms where some doesn't offer so much profitability more than the bonuses.
This is something to think about. Bonus whoring can be good but it also has it's drawbacks.
And what is a poker fish? I bet you are one but I won't tell you what it is! Hahahaha!
