Titan poker is to hold a 100 million dollar jackpot tournament

Titan poker will have a big freeroll tournament in april/may 2006 with $500 000 in guaranteed prizes in addition to the $100 000 000 million jackpot offered by Titan poker. The jackpot will be possible to win for those at the final table of the tournament. To win the jackpot they must get a Royal flush of spades at the final table.

This is another marketing ploy of course. The chances of anyone winning the jackpot is close to nil. I don't know the chances of getting a royal flush in spades at the final table but I certanly has never had any such hand in my lifetime.

Tournaments with supposedly very high prizes have been hold before, for example by noble poker. It is a maketing ploy to make it sound like a really great tournament with an enormous prize sum when it actually is considerably more insignificant. This is probably a successfull strategy and they should be complemented for using such tactics but you as a player should be aware that the chances of winning the $100 000 000 jackpot is close to nil even if you get to the final table.

Anyway, a freeroll with $500 000 in guaranteed prizes is not bad either and I really recommend you to visit Titan poker and have a go at it.
