There has been talk of dummy hands being dealt on this site (Omaha table), is there any truth to this??

The 'dummy hand' is the hand you virtually get dealt when you join and sit in the small blind position.
Blade7, Grizzlee and MOD_Woosh said, that - alhough you're not actually getting dealt cards - the dealer keeps four cards apart for you, of which you can see the result above the chat/information box in a black bar with white letters.
So, if you'd tell what that bar says, you're giving away information about what cards are in play and what aren't.
