I have decided to resign as moderator and leave this site with immediate effect. It's become a free-for-all now and it's just too difficult to manage and emotionally tiring, at least for me. It's no longer about poker or fun, which it should be.

I don't think the problems are dealt with properly. The moderator team is divided in it's interests. Also, the nasty atmosphere which is always around the site is just unbearable now. It doesn't matter much what I try to do to keep the site welcome and clean, because the people who cause trouble are allowed to get away with it for too long.

What's the point in me banning someone when they can come back 5 minutes later to give me more abuse? It saddens me that this site is filled with so many vicious people. I don't feel like my efforts have been appreciated much either. The moderators do a good job on the whole and have been dedicated to this site. I think the whole system could have been organised better though. It puzzles me how the moderators, who do a good thing by monitoring this site, become so despised and bullied by members here.

I have no real enemies here, and have anger for no-one. I have made lots of friends, who I will continue to speak to on or off the site. Thanks to those people (you know who you are) for making this experience worth my time. All those long nights playing poker together have been great. I am grateful also to Emil for giving me the chance in the first place. I no longer feel I can do this properly nor do I want the responsibility any longer.

I wish you luck, and I hope you have many more great poker games, and I hope a lot more friendships are forged here.

For now though, this is goodbye.

This has got to stop....... too many good people are leaving this site and too may bad people winning and taking over.
There must be something we can do to stop this, and first thing is Seph please dont go, we know moderators take terrible stick from all the nasties on this site but if you go they will win, the thing is all of the rest of us (the good ones ) are behind you,and we will help in any way we can to rid this site of them and make it into the really great site it used to be. So once again to all the mods who are getting fed up, please stay and help us all to get this site back to what it used to be

Seph..I have to hold my hands up to making a post this morning which could be interpreted as unhelpful...my intention believe it or not was to try and inject some tongue in cheek humour into the debate between yourself and Petey...hopefully to diffuse the situation a little. I truly apologise if it offended..everyone on this site that knows me, knows I would never intentionally offend anyone. Whilst I realise that you may be upset over many things I truly hope my comment wasn't the straw that broke the camel's back..so to speak.

this is bad. when somany ppl leave because ppl on the web site are such ass holes and when you need releafe from the online world then truly it is bad. i say there needs to be something else, that everyone who doesn't like to play poker and be nice about it should not be alowded to be here to ruin it for everyone who has fun wether we win, lose, or have a diffrent opionon from the person next to us across the table or waiting to play

Hi diamond88. I haven't completely vanished lol I've still been keeping an eye on things. I don't think I'm going to reconsider, it's stressful and I don't need that when I could be doing something more constructive.

Willy may have reconsidered but I don't plan to. My decision to leave was not made in haste but something that I thought about and decided would be good for me, and probably the site. It's not been easy, and it's been made much harder by people asking me to stay when I have made my decision on this. I can't promise that in 2 weeks I won't feel different about this, I might, but right now I don't think that will happen.

Being a moderator is a thankless job at times and you have to dedicate a lot of your poker time to sorting out people who break the rules. Things have gotten worse here now, people are worse, and selfish and don't think of what they're doing. It's tantamount to bullying, and it's so out of control now that I no longer have the energy or interest in sorting it out.

When this site is back to being a poker site and not a school playground then it will be somewhere worth coming to. Don't get me wrong, there are great people here, and I've made friends. My msn and email inbox have been inundated with people asking me to come back but I told them all the same that I feel I've made the right decision ;o)

sepheryn , i don't know you that well , but i do know you worked hard to maintain the quality of this site , i also know you are very much respected , any decision to leave something that has been part of your everday life must be difficult... as you say .in time maybe you will reconcider ... but i do understand the stress this has caused to you and many other people ... Good luck in all you do ;)
