sorry i dont mean to be a whining bit+h or anything but i started playing today for the first time in a while and i joined table 1 cos i new a few people on other table but i thought would talk to new people so i went on and said hi to everyone and no one responded but i wasnt to fussed cos i thought they may have just been concentrating on poker but then someone else joined and said hi and he was obviously popular on the tables and nearly every person said hello i dont mean people have to have full blown convos with me but a simple hi would be nice. i dont mind too much bt some new players might feel put off playing here if people continue to be so rude.

I have had this happen to me as well on a table where I dont know anyone. I think it is rude not to reply if someone says hello. How hard is it to type hi, its a very small word but means a lot to someone new joining and makes them feel welcome. Anyway my advice is dont take it personally and go and find a table where there is a nicer atmosphere. On the whole this poker site is a very friendly one with some great characters.

thank you diamond it wasnt really for my sake as i know there are a load of nice people on here but it is for new players i wouldnt want them to be detered from this site because of a minority. i have found tourney tables are very friendly and a great laugh so that is all i do now cos i like a bit of banter wen im playin.

I agree! I had same thing happen! I am upbeat, friendly, say hi and greet everyone: ie nh, wp. When I win noone congratulates me even on Omaha table, but when a man wins everyone does. Why is this?

Lets sort this. I still say nh, vnh etc even if that person doesn't reply with a ty or congratulate a win. I realise that not all chat or even say ty and respect that, but its becoming the norm, even from old stagers. Are we dropping into a new phase on site? Do we favour only our mates? Lets get back to the "hug everyone stage" and encourage new starters........It only takes two presses on a keyboard to say "nh".

Well said hovis, I couldn't agree more.
I'm always polite too, even to players that have been rude in one way or another at some point during the game, but that's me... Always polite & happy.
Luckily we do have alot of polite & amazing people on this site :)

I red some posts in the complaints and appeals where you were complaining that you couldnt find a mod when was needed. Now you register with a new name?... and go on about how unfriendly the site is? why? you were on Omaha last night and it was a really really nice and enjoyable atmosphere. I dont speak so much because I am watching tables at the same time and cant really follow a conversation. But what you are doing here is not really nice.

itd not cuz ur a girl.
Ive been on this site since late december, and i cant remember the last time someone said nh, vnh, wp, or even wd.
