little story: This weekend i went with a few of my friends to Atlantic City New Jersey.
On Saturday we went to the big Taj Mahal casino, i bought $150 of chips and sat down at a poker table.
After 5 hours i had $350 in chips and i'm getting pocket Queens, i raised $15 pre-flop, everybody folded, one guy raised $30 (that guy bluffed a lot the whole time and had $190 chips left after having like $800) the rest folded, i called.
Flop comes down Q 3 K (so i have trips Queens). i checked, he bet $30, i called.
Turn comes another 3 (so i have Queens full over 3s). i checked, (why bet when i have full house and he just bluffs away as he did last 5 hours) he bet $50, i called.
River comes J. i checked, he goes all-in, about $100. i called and flipped my pocket Queens, everybody at table went wowow, nice hand, well done.
But he then flipped his cards and ffs, guess what, it was pocket Kings...
The entire table went quiet for a few seconds... i mean this guy who played so careful the whole time shows Queens full over 3s, and the other guy who bluffed the whole time shows Kings full over 3s...
I just stood up and cashed out the rest of my chips like $160 and went to a Roulette table. |
