To whom this may concern,
I am extremely interested in becoming a CM, Could you please reply and tell me how it's possible to become one, Because as you all should know i am always playing at all times of the day. And continue to keep playing so please give it a think and let us know.

Openly taking the mick out of my position as CM. Would have thought these players knew better as they are more experienced players on the site, but apparantly not!!
Shame some people just have to take the mick out of CMs....
BTW that all started because I said something along the lines of 'Hi Gforceone good to see you back, ul on the ban' and then another commented and another.. then it was stated 'read the full text... we all know that he got banned because he didn't reply to GM'
This then went on with CMtoxy trying to calm them by saying 'shush' and one of the players commenting 'i will not shut up' and so I said 'YES YOU WILL'. I am 99% sure that was Gegs but the script was too long and I couldn't get that far up the convo!
I am not sure what to do in this case, so thought maybe a mod/GM could give them a warning to those involved please?

Hi Emil, I have been on this site for about a month now, and have found it a joy to visit and play poker with some very cool ppl. However, I feel I have been very badly treated by someone who is meant to set an example to players and site visitors. He decided blackjesus being a name on here is wrong, I dont and i think millions of ppl dont as its a very popular song by everlast and blackjesus is a potrait in many areas of the world. Pls correct this for me

CMCHIPLISH.
Our table was getting on just fine until you made an appearance. You came in and tried to dictate the conversation between players. There was nothing offensive going on. When you didn't get your own way you start to shout at me, continually, until your orders were carried out. You got upset because you were being "defied". Who the hell do you think you are? I think you should stick to helping with the "proper rules" and only use caps when you are warning someone for breaking the site rules. Get it, the site rules. So get off your high horse.

couldnt agree more ynot. it was a definite example of "power" abuse.
most players on the table recognised that. He was just trying to throw his weight around. sad really but those two letters "CM" seem to have a weird effect on some people. He shudda just let us get on with playing and chatting rather than trying to make a "situation" where one didnt exist.

I would just like to say that there is one CM on this site who really in my opinion deserves to be given moderator status.
His hard work and determination is out standing, he is a great guy with a sensible mature attitude he welcomes every new player to the table and people love him.
I am not sure if he would accept but he would be a credit to the site.
On my recommendation please consider offering CMjohnnyb Moderator status.

I would have to echo twr's words. There is a real community spirt on table 1 amongst the regulars and this is largely due to the warm welcome that Jb gives everybody. I don't know if he has any desireto be a moderator, but he certainly would be an excellent choice in my opinion

Yeah my holiday was good GrandeMaster! Didn't travel far lol. Just went to the big city for some partying. 4 nights of it lol. I'm off booze for a month... well, after i finish this beer lol. It was totally exhausting. So glad to be home and back to my mod duties, which are going well i might add :o)

OMG u must be joking CMchiplish as A mod after the way he stromed into table 6 and caused havokk JUST 2 DAYS AGO if he is accepted as a MOD i will be going bk to a regular player he is a 17yr old know it all who needs to learn some manners and to learn how to speak to ppl no wonder u apologised to me CMCHIP ...................
and why did i have to do a written account of what happened @ the table only for GM to put him forward as a MOD the mind boggles

Sorry CMtoxy but that is out of my hands.
I am sure you will find that many people who know me (you don't know me well enough to have an accurate impression of me) would think I could make a good mod and would think that I have been a good CM.
GM and Keywest are well aware of EVERYTHING that goes on with this site and if they still felt that they could decide I would be good for a trial then that speaks louder than words.
It is obvious we have our differences and I am sorry that I tried to help you on the tables when you feel you did not need the assistance.
As I saw it you had a member refusing to be quiet and you clearly thought there could be an issue stirring, and I did likewise, otherwise you wouldn't have said 'shush'.
When the member said something like 'no I will not be quiet in response' I stepped in believing I was helping a CM out, although in hindsight you clearly didn't feel you needed any assistance.
I said, even in the height of the moment, that I did not feel it warranted a ban or a muzzle, just a warning.
I would like to sum up by saying that it is difficult to interpret people's attitudes through text as I am sure you will be aware given your chatroom moderating experience. You cannot display emotions and you can't hear what I am saying and the tone used.
In this instance, I was not using CAPS to shout but to try to take control of the room and to stop an argument.
In this case I am honest enough to admit that it went against me and I could have handled the situation more efficiently in hindsight, however, at the time I felt the situation warranted the use of CAPS. When it all blew up in my face I wasn't exactly able to give it as much thought before posting as I would like to.
When I put 'do not try to defy me', this was misinterpreted and was maybe a bad use of English language on my behalf but what I meant was that they should stop stating 'caps off - only to be used when warning people'...
I only attempted to 'govern' (in my mind I was just trying to stop a conversation which was going to cause issues.. as it already was when a member commented that 'he was obviously only banned because he didn't answer GM'...) the conversation because it was not appropriate IMO to have at the tables. I do believe you thought EXACTLY the same because you told them to 'shush' BEFORE ME!
I apologised to you because I didn't want to fall out with another CM and I thought you were genuine when you accepted the apology, although you clearly still have an issue with me.
Basically, that is it. It is all there and that is one hell of an explanation on my part. I feel I have acted as the 'bigger man' in the situation and admitted that I could be seen as 'in the wrong', but I do hope that this post will help others understand where I was coming from.

ok point taken but i still stand by my previous postings in my opinion u r not ready to become a MOD mabey a little more training and ppl skills required and i was handling the situation quite ok and i have never asked for yr help on any table
AND it was the situation U CAUSED

great site and love the poker.
I occasionally get a lil exciteable but never rude to people unless they are repeatedly are to me. Even then i try and difuse people with humour.
ANYWAY.
I find this this want to be mod and cm thing quite bizzarre. As a business owner of a sports company, I look at some of the requests for status to be nothing more than that, with people just wanting to have some form of power.. Dangerous throughout the ages.. power greed turn to anger and hate... the dark side.. (star wars) lol lol lol.
Hope u all sort out who is the best and who has the most power. To the cms and mods who do a great job I salute you to a job well done.

Kev, Emil is a busy man. He might not check the site everyday. It depends,
When did a mod or GM or whoever say u were getting unbanned?
I am currently waiting to get unbanned myself as someone mistakenly banned me for playing multable tables.
The point is, it might be another week or day.
Id give it about 10 days since the day whoever said u were getting unbanned

Ok.
I would like to say I am sorry to ynot for our issue the other night on the table.
In hindsight I could have done a better job but at the time I felt I had little option as I felt that I had been backed in to a corner, even though people think I caused the issue.
If this is so then I can only apologise as I didn't set out to cause an arguement and was only trying to divert what I thought could turn in to one.
So, Ynot, I apologise if you see me as the cause of the problem.
I hope we can all agree to leave this in the past now?
