I would like another treasure trap style table: at certain times of the day - you need more luck to click onto the TT table than you need to get decent cards once you get on.
One with a buy-in of $12,500 would be great - that way, for a full table, you would clear $50k profit, if you win it.
Given that you have to fight hard, over roughly an hour to get it ... it seems a fair pay out ... you can make than on the turbos in a lot less time. But at least you feel you have earned it.
One concept to spice up this fantasy tourney table is to start the blinds at level 2 or 3 ... this will bypass level 1 (big blind $15 and small blind $5 ... euhh); this will shorten the length of time a tourney will take - which no doubt is a factor that keeps some players away from playing tourneys?!
Level 1 shouldn't really be worth anyone's while getting involved ... but they still do:
It fascinates me how what I call
FIRST HAND FEVER descends onto the tourney tables ... it rarely happens on hand #2 or hand #3 etc ... but hand #1 ALLIN-central !!!!!!!!!!
It is entertaining, and I've done it myself when I have AA, knowing players are just itching to pull the trigger on the first hand. It's hilarious. It does create a big stacked Ogre at the table, however, which brings its own dynamic.
First-hand-fever is a strange mini-bingo phenomenon, indeed.
.......but hey - sometimes its worth the risk:

You can tell this guy went all-in first-hand.
