I would like a question answered if at all possible please...

I complained yesterday that "fishhead" came into DM and not only used foul and abusive language, but also threatened physical violence.... I had my suspicions from some things said that fishead was in fact skeptagiggz.. I have been informed that fishead is indeed skeptagiggz who has been muzzled for similar things on the site..

I noticed this evening that skeptagiggz was playing on DM... I asked mod-whoosh what had happened to fishead, and was told that he had been banned... if that is the case, and fishead/skeptagiggz are one and the same person, why is skeptagiggz not also banned?

Surely if it is the case a full IP ban should be enforced for someone threatening physical violence, whether it be on the internet or in person.. its still a criminal offence( I have checked)..

I would hope for some clarification on this issue please

Sorry Dev, your question is worth answering and I am sure it will be. We are careful how we approach subjects like this and a full IP ban is not used, except in the most serious of cases.

The forum mods or the team will reply to you as soon as we have an answer m8.

I dont understand that if someone breaks a rule then they should be punish right? Then why give them a way to avoid that punishment by simply creating another username and attack players again. Have we or have not seen that rule taken advacntage since the site first begin.

well hovey it seems to have taken a very long time for anyone to even ask me about this issue.. and I have to say that I stand by my statement from earlier... if I hear nothing by tomorow morning then I shall deal with this my way.. and I can assure you that it wont be pleasant for the site owner to be receiving communication from my solicitor....

Too many people here just allow this sort of thing to go on without fully IP banning perpetrators, and citing very dubious excuses such as personal privacy issues or some other lame excuse...
If the site rules dont cover this type of behaviour specifically then your failing in your duty of care to the members here.. that in itself is an offence because minors are allowed to be site members( again I have already checked this to be the case), and I for one wont sit back and allow this to happen to me or any of the other great people on this site... even if it costs me I will take this all the way if necessary....

As it seems I am getting no where with asking the mods for an answer to a very simple question, I have no alternative but to put this matter in the hands of my solicitor... I therefore am officially requesting the site owners email address from you, and if that is not forthcoming I shall take altenative measures to ensure you comply with this proper request...
I now have no more to say to the mods on this site and will be citing those that I have had communication with in any action my solicitor takes from here...

I am not sure what you know about ip's but with the current standard of IPv4 (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) configuration, there are only roughly 4.8 billion combination's of IP addresses available. Given the total World population and the fact that many people have more then 1 IP (ex. 1 for computer, 1 for cell phone, etc...) there are simple not enough addresses to go around. When you change your IP, this IP goes back in to the pot to be reused by someone else.

The IP standards are changing, however, to a hexadecimal standard (IPv6, 2001:0db8:85a3:08d3:1319:8a2e:0370:7334, example provided by Wiki). This will be the new standard within the next 10 years giving gazillions of available combination's. Until then, realistically IP bans are not practical.
