Have a go at these cryptic clues. For those of you that can't do cryptic crosswords, this will teach you. I will post them regularly if you like them or are able to answer them...2 examples below.

clue..Dodgy starter had consumed.
Dodgy starter = D. Had = owned
answer...DOWNED. which means consumed.


clue..Twelve noon? correct.
twelve noon is the am end.
answer...AMEND. which of course is to correct.

right..todays clue. rated easy.

clue..Circuit best for a device
answer. L _ _ T _ _

sports not right, but close. you need to turn it back.

hobbies turning back creates sharpness.
so sports backwards gives you STROPS which sharpen razors etc.

of the orient is eastern lacking the N (nitrogen) give us EASTER, a festival.
