D is to dutch as F is french, E is english, L is latin...etc... If a word in the dictionary is latin there is an (L) after it to denote it's origin..

nope, the clue is probably to be reworked.
tried to make an &lit clue...

I = BAT (my nick at the table)
smallball= BEAD
play= anagram indicator
when {B,A,T} play {B,E,A,D}?
BAD BEAT!

very tough mate. the word "when" should not be there, smallball should be 2 words and it needed a clue. Written this way would be gettable.

"Part of me": useless, i am known as bat or batty at the tables.

also, &lit clues ("and literally) are special cryptic clues:
the clear part is not disjoint of the cryptic part, it is the whole sentence. I ll try to rework it.
