Bill Withers? Where the bloody hell did that one come from? Lilfrog are you sure your mum didn't finish your message off for you?

And is that Rob Giles the same one who used to work in the Co-op in Rochdale? If his singing is anything like his adding up he'll be back diddling me out of 23p before he knows it.

Oh Baldy ... "Lean on me" is a classic

Does however remind me of a very old joke....

Q. How do you turn a Duck into a Soul singer .......

A. Put in tinto a microvave until it's Bill Withers

Dear Jockney,

Classic shmassic. Mind you, considering your list - presumably taken from the 'Drove all night' compilation given away by the Sunday Mail - your response is unsurprising. the only reason the young should be made aware of such mediocre nonesense is so they don't repeat the same gutwrenching mistakes (tee hee...that should get him going).

Please feel free to launch an equally mundane personal attack on me, I shan't be offended.

Unless, of course, you somehow crowbar your love of 'Smoke on the water', 'Freebird', 'Rockin in the Free World', et al into the conversation.
Then I think I might just pop.

Yours, in anticipation

Baldyman (holding a lighter and swaying in an ironic fashion)

He He , thanks for your input Baldy , and yes The 3 tracks you mentioned would be other favourites of my own eclectic taste. Sorry if my chosen tracks are a little "safe" for you. My own kids have grown up with quite an appriciation of all kinds of music. I'm sorry that your own tastes would be so narrow, i feel that you may have missed out mate. It's a shame that you were unable to share your own favourites with us.

Thank you for your concern however, but rest assured I like and appreciate music from many genres.

now ............where did I put that Air Guitar ??
