Black Jack is a house game, one of the better ones -but designed for the house to make a killing. Why everybody seems to have these tales of hitting huge is kind of unique to everything I know about Black Jack.
The house being required to stand on a 'soft' 17 is the only
non standard rule
here, in favor of the player that I have noticed. Still not sure if that's enough for people to be beating it, though.
Say, anybody willing to come forth and say they've lost their bank?
And please, I know I have a small stack, usually hovering around 300k....and that's enough to play; if we were just in the fun realm of playing poker. (Granted, I hardly play, and *only* small buy-in tourneys)
When did points begin to mean so much?.....when did virtual points make people so uptight and seriously more worried about their points than the way they play?
A/7os is not a good hand, guys....heh.

I'm not entirely sure whats going on with the blackjack tables. The ease with which players are consistently winning large amounts does not replicate the results one could expect to find at a casino.
I did notice a link under the tables list that players can go to if they want to play for real money and strongly suspect that the blackjack tables here are set/rigged to heavily favour the player with tens and aces being dished out with unrealistic and monotonous regularity.
In my most humble opinion, this would give players a false sense of their own ability to play blackjack well, and thus, they would be much more inclined to go to the real money link.
I think the blackjack tables here are a good addition the site but the settings need to be changed from "junior" to "realistic". It would be easy for a player to be lulled into a false sense of security, lose their bundle on a real money site and be left in tatters, wondering where it all went horribly wrong.

If you think about it, its not hard to figure out how players win so much. For example you can start out with 5000k bet it all in one play and now you have 10,000 then 15,000 so on and so on. The point what a lot of people and me are trying to say is blackjack is taking the poker out of it in a way. If you are playing on texas turbo it would take you long time to get to 50,000 k but if you are playing black jack it can very easy take 5 mins.

When I noticed how easy it was to win on the previous justforfun blackjack tables (Birdy found them a year back)... to me it just got boring.

I love my poker and spend many hours on the tables and with luck getting a little better (though the better you get the worse you realise you are) and have enjoyed every (mostly) minute.
I now just enjoy the game, the play, the pokerchums, the thrill.
I am not sure sure what constitutes bingo play nor care much (a true bingo player would be east prey surely?) and I now not even care about the tourni standings or rankings. If I have 10,000 or 1M chips it makes me not a better player.
Say Hi when you see me, and enjoy your game. That's all.

Not only boring its annoying to see how much people win. I know I could win that much too but ffs why would I want to, it takes all the fun and trying to get chips.

Nice to see someone finally raising the blindingly obvious with regards to the real dangers to this site that the inclusion of blackjack has brought about.
The point I'd like to make is that it's not the effect on people's free chip bank account that is disconcerting, but that it's the link to real money blackjack that most certainly compromises the free-pokerness of the freepokerroom. The idea that this is a free poker site as the site address suggests has been corrupted. It already was because of the links on the main page but the corruption has become more insipid now what with the site set-up to dupe people into parting with their money. Perhaps emil should re-name it thenotsofreepokerroom.com.

If you are at a table with nine bingo-heads, you are the prey.

Tables do not come for free for Emil, he has to pay a monthly rent to justforfunsoftware.com for each table running.
The ad links is probably a way for him to get some money back...

Ynot: spot on Tony, no doubt in why the winning percentage and payout is way beyond Danis experienced view.
Ok get hooked, go real time and beware.
Get rid or make it realistic.

I too have been playing on this site for nearly a year. I have played at tables and only recently started playing tourneys. I dont belong to a team and am not really interested in my position on theleaderboard. I only want to have an amount of chips to be able to play tourneys since bingo invades all other tables (not excluding tourneys at times). I think we all know who the great poker players on this site are - we see them on the tourney tables. i have played BJ a few times and have won chips so I can play tourneys. Is that really so bad? I'm gonna start feeling guilty for playing BJ soon!!! maybe a BJ leaderboard would solve everyone's problems.

This means separate bank balances, and probably separate accounts in separate lobby.

yes, because, since your buyin was easy to finance, you wont play the same hands
at tourneys. And if you lose, it will also be quick to refinance a new buyin.
This completely destroy the different scales of buyins of 3k, 6k, 10k, 25k and 50k.
Just go play BJ and play highest stakes poker tables afterwards...

I started bat stats to compare bank balance progressions and try to find what poker styles I observe on tables get the best results.
I won't waste my time longer to compare what are now meaningless figures
and bat stats won't survive February if this bs continues.

I got on LB by playing NL ring-games before it turned bingo.
When bingo donks arrived, I swiched to Pot Limit Holdem where I won most of of my chips.
PL is now unplayable because beginners find protection at this table from NL bingo,
so u get 9 calling stations for any max-raise, 10$ raisers at the button, slow players, no auto-blinds...
