Bat obviously started his stats for a reason, and, as i'm sure you will agree, has spent a lot of his free time developing and maintaining them. His thread is by far the most popular in the sites history (14936 views at time of posting, second is complaints and appeals 5749), a fair amount of us (Myself included) have enjoyed comparing balances and progressions using Bats stats.
If Bat feels that the stats will be flawed and not as was intended, then it will be his decision, and his decision alone, wheather or not to continue them. I would like to thank Bat for his efforts and the sterling job he has done. I understand how he feels as I will not be impressed by the amount of free chips individuals have amassed.
It is very noticeable the stampede (NOT ME) to play blackjack to gorge on the easy pickings and the affect this has had on the tourney and bingo tables, this can only be detrimental to the site as a whole, There is none so blind as those that won't see.
Thanks again Bat.
Just my opinion
Fond regards Jamie

I did notice a link under the tables list that players can go to if they want to play for real money and strongly suspect that the blackjack tables here are set/rigged to heavily favour the player with tens and aces being dished out with unrealistic and monotonous regularity.

In my most humble opinion, this would give players a false sense of their own ability to play blackjack well, and thus, they would be much more inclined to go to the real money link

well said tony, but my father taught me, never gmable online,
if you can't see the dealer, you can't trust them,
you never know if that site can actually see your cards and play against you as in a player.

The point people have made about this site being free and therefore the fake money you win/lose on it, being insignificant, is rather sad to me.
Is the point that because there is no real money involved everyone should treat playing here as a time passing exercise, because there is no profit to be made?
I prefer to think of the site as a place in which to hone my skills as a poker player.
Just because there is no money involved doesn't have to devalue the experience.
Money isn't everything.

I'm one for letting blackjack have it;s own stats! As well as any other game as well that will be added in the futer having their own stats. While we are at it, omaha, holdem and 7-card stud shud have their own stats as they are differnent games. Blackjack is fun, but this "SUPER" surge in my chips has really ruined the enjoyment of winning them in the first place. All the above reason was why I ask you if you had plans on making Blackjack stats Bat.

agree with the majority of what you said but not the above.

money makes the world go round (fact). if youve got it ur lucky and if u dont ur fecked, you wouldnt be on this forum if u had no money(fact) thousands and thousands of innocent people from the haiti disaster wouldnt be dying of starvation if they had money(fact) wars start over money(fact ummmm usa britain iraq oil) people play poker for money and or profit (fact)
people play fee poker for social reasons (fact) the leaderboard is for people to observe others winnings(fact) unfortunatly too many people in the world have inflated ego's (fact) such a shame

I cannot produce stats at will like that.
To make stats, 3 things must be met:
1) know all aspects of the game (it's not the case for bj as i am concerned)
2) guess enough of the communication protocol between the server and the client
3) write a spying program of the game, test it several week or month

and then
4) make a program to compile stats from the output of the above spying program
5) let the spying program run 24/24, 7/7 on your machine

As for poker and point (2) , here is a fragment of the communication as an example.
You can see that chat are lines prefixed by @A, and that game log are lines prefixed by @P.
The rest are figures encoding how the hand is going on. All these figures have to be reverse-engineered to write a spy:

Now, for blackjack, here is a fragment of communication.
As opposed to the poker lines above, I have no idea of their meaning...

I feel you've taken what I said out of context gollum.
I know that you probably know what i meant by "money isn't everything" but if not I only meant in the context of playing poker.
I should have written--- "Money isn't everything, in terms of making experiences more enjoyable."
It isn't necessarily more fun when real money is involved or visa-versa. The stress of having real money on the line could ruin the experience for a lot of people I'm sure.
If not having money on the line means people don't really care whether they win or lose......then they should probably leave the site, as what is the point of playing?
Even though my chips are 'fake' I still like to play as if they are real.

Agree.
All the fun is to put an opponent on a hand,
and make him commit an awful call or a bad fold
with respect to your odds and what you think are his odds.

All-in battle-royals with any two cards because chips are free are just a waste of bandwidth...

If Bat feels that the stats will be flawed

They already are:
Look at GreatestPlayer struggling in the range of 3M for 6 months and then jumping to close to 5M in a single week,
or Flyingfinn getting back at BJ his recent 1M loss from GM/DM

(pictures below only valide at the time of writing this post,
they may show different players later)

or Manager1 whose accout is idle since August and jumps from 14.5M to close to 17M
this week....

why do show us your screenshots for 10 minutes and then remove them
and replace them by "test" ?

I love so much your contributions that reenforce my feeling that stats become meaningless and must be dropped.

Just been wondering any audit can or will be conducted on Manager1 account by management soon? Since there is a huge uproar by many players on the site who are currently on the LB or the ones who are trying to get on the LB. Computer hacking of sites is very common and I was told by some ppl who are very knowledgeable of the subject it can be done fairly easy. Many of us spend valuable time to play hard and honest to get on LB and for some one to come in and add chunks of millions of chips in short period of time who rarely been seen playing on tables must and should be unacceptable. I play under anther nic and yes I am on the LB even at one point in time I broke the top 5 list before I start playing very carelessly and lost lots of chips, Manager1 knows me well I have questioned him on this matter over 1 ½ yrs ago many times his only defense was laughing it off. Thanks

It seems that everyone has very valid concerns regarding the pro's and con's of the new blackjack tables.......But my biggest concern is why would people groan and grumble about the biggest so called tragedy (blackjack) hitting this site..........Yet be seen at the blackjack tables themselves? Just giving it a once over? Nooooooo I have seen many of you grumblers at the blackjack tables more than once, and with a hefty lil bankroll......So not naming names ( you know who you are ) just remember...people living in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
