Do I miss the point somehow Jan sweety?

This thread's starting point was an apology from maf to Hovis...well, sort of -- since his ban was not really supposed to happen. After that people commented on various matters, with humor and off-the-topic comments, as usual.

If I make a bold assumption that you refer to bingo play....and that we somehow made the said issue a circus....then I am as lost for words -- and saddened by your post as you are by our commenting. I will not say more for fearing that I might say something that I would come to regret.

Lovingly as always,

Dear oh dear finny.

Should I feel good or bad that I am not on the honor list???

Gits....;-))
This has what to do with the original post????? The post is in an open forum and is up for debate, its about opinions on a subject relating to the free poker room, right or wrong people are entitled to their opinion.
Look at the original posts then see when the circus begins, a player has been banned mate, and it is as a result of bingo play.
Jan like every one else is entitled to their opinion, be it pro or anti bingo to the colour of the carpet under the tables.

Just my opinion

PS i'd say you feel bad about not being on the list (again an opinion)

You know...

I've been on a tourney table, and watched a person to decide to go 'allin' every hand.
Is this Bingo?

Is this chance playing?
Is this somebody trying to steal 30+ points from blinds?
Is this just the way some people play?

All true...

Are ya stuck on a tourney table?
Yep.

Can ya move off a random table if somebody shows up that you don't like the way they are playing?
Yep.

Can you control the way some people play in real life?
No.

Will there *ever* be a free site where people are not concerned about what and how they lose chips?
No.

You'll get better play on a desert island when people are playing for the last sandwich.

Oops Jamier....which part of this you do not understand:

flyingfinn1:
After that people commented on various matters, with humor and off-the-topic comments, as usual.

Yes, indeed Jan is entitled to her opinion...and hence my surprise for seeing her render such a remark about others opinion. That prompted my comment, no harm intended.

As to your opinion --as much as you can express it freely....it seems to lack logic. This is an observation, not opinion.

Regarding your PS comment....I am not yet sure about that one myself. In all honesty I do not probably feel much anything about that matter. It was meant as a humorous remark, but like so many other of my attempts, not that good one then. Ah well...thank God for real comedians.

Edit: Some typo's. Way too early here.

i enjoy the fun and banter just as much as the rest of you . And to be honest the odd all in can be fun......but when a player does this day in day out no matter what hand they have, then it can become quite tedious....mafia is a fun person, and i enjoy his wit at the tables, but as he is aware i have asked him on many occassions to play omaha table 2 as it was intended .. play bingo if you so wish..on OMAHA 1.....i know that there are many strong feelings on this topic, i feel it is always put on a back burner, turned into a joke and forgotten.
maybe you chipschasers can have a league all of your own and and may the best all inner win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have played in many a league game and never witnessed an all -in preflop at the start of a game....please can you tell me then why you all inners dont do it there then?????????????

i personally dont like bingo playing, but its awkward as if you have a great hand and you know your gonna win either the hi the lo or both then bingo is good and you can raise your stack to quite a high amount. But it can take a while if you have to wait for a decent hand.and there are always ways of stopping the all in pre flop on omaha 1 table if 3 people raise it and get the calling amount to 38 then the all in option isnt available and on omaha 2 i think its 60 before this happens, so if you know there are bingo players in the rooms then raise it minimum bet.

Hi Jan hun,

With this post and the points you raise, I fundamentally agree. 100% totally. I do know btw that you enjoy the fun we have. Better yet, it is great fun when you are at the table.

My only concern above was then as well, that you did not address any issue, but sort of put us down for loosing the plot as always...;-)

Because they have something to lose....honor is at stake, as well as your skills, talents and letting your team down.

At least there is that....heh.

ETA:

One of my team mates last night...declared he will only play league games from now on, and this is a *very* good player. It's sad, but if I knew how to fix it, I'd snap to it in within seconds.

finny.
keep me right here mate, what i thought was my opinion on opinions was really an observation, and i thought the first part was a copy and paste jobby to endorse jans obsevation or is that opinion, thats my opinion or is that an observation of someone elses opinion or obsevation. lol.

As ever this topic gets too heavy, Maf/mask is a good lad but, every time he plays the table becomes a bingo table, maybe a bit of mutual respect and consideration is the answer, i dont know.
i will in future refrain from expressing my observations and or opinions on the matter.

Happy fishing bingoists.
Peace, love and fertility to you all

Dear Jamier,

I believe that your opinion, regarding my remark to Jan's post, was lacking in logic by the fact that your post admonished me for something we both agree(d) upon: namely that we are free to express any and all thoughts, be they opinions, facts or pointless banter -- here at TFPR forum. (Within certain limitations of decency). Hence my remark ought to be construed as an observation. Would it become clear that I erred in my observation of the above mentioned fact, then not only would I stand corrected, but my observation would be invalid. I am quite certain though that it will stand as stated.

On the other hand Jan did not opine in her remarks, rather, she expressed her thoughts of disappointment with respect to our comments generally: us turning an unnamed topic/matter to a circus. Would she have named the topic of her concern (that was not, by the way, the original point of the thread) and then proceeded to admonish us for 'loosing the plot' or what ever, pertaining to the subject matter she chose to expand on then that could have qualified as her opinion.

Words have a funny way to mean very different things in different context. Sometimes it is a good idea to take a moment to reflect upon that. For even an apparent oxymoron as: 'depends what the meaning of is is' can make a point...unless used to justify a 'previous' statement as in:' I did not have sexual relations......'. Then one ends up looking mostly silly.

I would find it very sad, indeed, if you would withhold your opinions and thoughts from us. That was and is not my intent. Yet, if the first thing in the morning I read is an apparent jibe toward my post -- and that makes me spill my coffee, you better be darn sure it is a correct one -- and one that I deserved. ;-))

Lovingly as always

Jyri

P.S.: I do not want to be fertile anymore. I have three monsters loose in my house as it is.
P.P.S.: Those schooled in English language will undoubtedly correct my errors of logic here. I certainly deserve that.
P.P.P.S.: None of that expresses one way or another my thoughts on the 'bingo' question

Finny.
My learned friend, at no point was it my intention to cause you to spill anything, especially of the dangerously hot variety, due to a certain style of play I don't care much for I find myself trawling the forum more than I'm at the tables.
Unfortunately I only have the compulsion to post when bored and my judgement has been clouded by alcohol, generally, with the exception of team threads I don't bother. I will endeavour in future to read posts properly and absorb all facets before feeling inclined to opine.

Regards jamie

PS Was any of the little Finns first words ALL IN? lol.
PPS Only joking. Don't spill anything.

Cant we all just get along. I thought this was a site to play poker and meet good people. Can't we just play the game the right way and true to the rules. If we do this we will not have these child like issues. So lets play poker and have fun!
