Good Evening. Many people are under the assumption that pocket aces is the best possible starting hand in hold em. I am here today to tell you that it is NOT.

The real best starting hand is Jack Ten suited. It is the nut drawing hand, offering numerous straight, flush and straight flush opportunities, not to mention the fact that you could also catch top pair with this hand with a reasonable kicker too.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Jack Ten suited is surely the ultimate starting hand for hold em.

3 people are left playing. lets say the blinds are 5/10. all 3 people post there blinds, they see the flop. 1 person only has 2 chips left, he goes all in with 2 chips. how many chips do the other 2 players have to put in the pot if they want to carry on?????

I think you are wrong on this one, aces are the best starting hand in my opinion, but of course they do not always win. BTW I did the odds and aces win against J 10 suited. 78.1% to 21.6.%

gaz i think it depends on what position the player with only 2 chips left is in. if he/she is in the big blind position, perhaps the other players only need to put 2 chips in to continue? what happened in your case? did you feel that you Had to put too many/ too little chips in? to be honest I'm not sure.

hi. erm, it was the person with only 2 chips left to act 1st after the flop i think. i wasnt playing but after the all in of 2 chips, i said to the next player he only had to put 2 chips in if he wanted to stay in the hand. other people said i was wrong and that they had to put 10 chips in (the amount of the big blind). every1 on this site says im right, tried googleing it but cant seem to find a good enough explanation of the rule.

actually im pretty sure you have to put in the amount of the big blind, unless the person with two chips is the only other person in the hand and all in with just that, if there was a person to act behind that, then the amount of the big blind applies

i dont know if this has been answerd for you, the answer is that everybody else would have to call 2 or raise ovbiously as there is a minimum bet but not a minimum call, if you was to raise the 2 however then it would double up the blind plus the 2 chips.. hope this helps
