Tia agreed & posted to confirm a change in Ron's status. This demonstrates no blackmail was involved. Only later, after a 'discussion' later in the evening with another Mod did this suggestion arise.
Note: one Mod has been 'involved' with Ron in a very personal and unhealthy manner to such an extent that a fair and reasonable opinion is not possible. That is my opinion, in the same way that Ron would reciprocate in a similar manner.

The thread above provides a copy of the msn chat which confirms no menaces were involved and little or no evidence of blackmail.

1. Is it fair for (un-named) Mods to accuse Members of criminal acts?
2. Is it appropriate to use capital letters?

and finally,

3. Will the Mods apologise to the Member without reservation for accusing them of being a criminal?

My apologies, zixxy. I did not realize you didn't want to discuss the cause, but only the effect.

I realise I do not want to play on your site anymore. Regis was treated awfully, why would I want to stay?

It looks like there is at least a start on trying to reslove this whole mess from the Moderation team.
Please visit the thread titled "To the Moderation Team," for a sincere attempt by Trev (Mod CMtwr506) in trying to bring peace back to this site.

Yes Los, Trev is a very decent fellow indeed. It will take this and more to get this resolved.

Mod Woosh - I have read the non-apology. I will explain in detail why this is so if you haven't read my replies or you need further explanation. The complaint remains, ie:

Suggestion / Question

Is there an FAQ or a place to ask really basic beginner questions (Like what is a "fish" - although i suspect i might be! )?

I really rate this site - been playing for a couple of weeks and had great fun. On something like -20000 chips but have enjoyed getting there.

As a suggestion of a way to monetise your site without adverts or politics, have you considered charging for poker tuition?

Why having a Blackjack table where it is unbelievable hard to win? Why bother to have it? The way the table is tunned is totally unreal, detached from real blackjack tables. I like to play regular tables poker and tourney. But to play blackjack i go to other sites.

I would like to say the following,

Having had a league match cancelled, we decided to have a friendly between us.

The time slot was 7pm to 9pm, during the game Mod_Swampy came on the table
and started to inform us that they had a game at 9pm and that our match was cancelled.
Our Captain Tincat informed her the table was booked and we were playing a friendly.

What I would like to know is surly it is irrelevant what time our game started as long as we finished in our 2hr time slot, the game was ruined because of this.

If it had have been a league match, would Swampy have done the same.

It seems to me after this weeks debacle, surly if the Mods would like respect it works both ways and that if a bit of common sense or tact was used, then problems like this would iron themselves out. Respect works both ways and I for one now feel that certain mods are going round acting like God and wanting to provoke a response

Please let's start getting the fun back into this site and all work together in a sensible manner and start showing each other the respect everyone deserves on this site.

Let's get one thing straight for a start. I did NOT come to the table as a Moderator I came as the captain of my team to ask a simple question. The response I got was not what I would have expected from a team captain. Your own team mate Dani said it best in your team thread.

Did I get that? No, I got, "if we're still here at 5, you'll have to come back". And it escalated from there. At no time did I come to the table to start an arguement. And I apologised in your team thread for your game being disrupted the way it was. But a simple answer, like the one Dani posted above would have been best.


Yes I did say the game was cancelled and yes Tincat replied that is wasn't.

Unfortunately what I didn't see, which was at the bottom of the table bookings thread was this.

As I said, I didn't come to the table to disrupt your game. I only came to ask because your game kicked off nearly an hour late. And no, I wouldn't expect your team to delay a league game but I was being prudent in asking, nothing more.

And let's not forget that you started your devils friendly one hour late -- so it was one hour left before our league game (there are 2 hours between bookings for good reason). The only reason you finished on time was because you went all-in -- there were still 8 of your players at the table with 20 minutes to go before our game.

Please don't make it sound like swampy just arrived in the middle of your practice for no reason.

eta: Yes, let's start showing some respect. Good idea. You might have thought of that when swampy first asked if you'd be finished on time.

I'm getting deja vu here.


4 months back, a guy in a pub made a seemingly innocent comment about my pal. Thing is. my m8 wasnt at well, so I offered he hush up. It got quite lively and we went outside.

Before we scrapped which was definately on, we found common ground. He and I had both suffered family losses to the same disease, we shared our experiences and after some minutes and a chat we had a warm hug afterwards.

It wasnt that we were bad people, just not the best words at the wrong time.

As I said in my above post, I did NOT come to the table as a Mod I came as my teams Capt and as for Nightwriter, she is also a member of this team. Does having Mod in front of our names preclude us from replying to you as ordinary team members. I play as swampy, a member of the Chipmates who just happens to be a Moderator. I do not play under a different name like some of the people on this site.
