Armin van Buuren

Armin van Buuren (born in Leiden, Netherlands on 25 December 1976) is a Dutch trance producer and DJ. In 2007, 2008, and 2009 he was voted number one in DJ Magazine's annual top 100 list of the most popular DJs.Since 2001 van Buuren has hosted a weekly radio show called A State of Trance and claims to have over 30 million weekly listeners in more than 40 countries, which would make it the most listened radio show in the world. His 2008 studio album, Imagine, entered the Dutch album chart at #1, a first for a dance artist in Dutch music history.

Armin van Buuren has always had his own studio and worked alone in the beginning of his career. Since the release of his third studio album Imagine from 2008 he has been working with Benno de Goeij of Rank 1 on all solo productions and remixes. He is well known for his annual "Year Mix" which incorporates clips and custom mashups from the year's most popular trance tracks. Each year-mix consists of about 85 individual releases, edited into a 2 hour mix which is released on double CD as well as aired on his weekly radio show at the end of each year. According to van Buuren, each year-mix takes several months to make, including thousands of digital audio edits and hundreds of audio plugins.

Sharon Janny den Adel (born 12 July 1974, in Waddinxveen, South Holland, Netherlands) is a Dutch singer and composer, best known as the lead vocalist and one of the main songwriters in the Dutch symphonic metal/rock band Within Temptation. Crazy Frog

Crazy Frog, originally known as The Annoying Thing, is a computer animated character created in 2003 by Erik Wernquist. Marketed by the ringtone provider Jamba!, the animation was originally created to accompany a sound effect produced by Daniel Malmedahl in 1997 while attempting to imitate the sound of a two-stroke moped engine.

The Crazy Frog spawned a worldwide hit single with a remix of "Axel F", which reached the number one spot in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Turkey, New Zealand, Australia and most of Europe. The subsequent album Crazy Frog Presents Crazy Hits and second single "Popcorn" also enjoyed worldwide chart success, and a second album entitled Crazy Frog Presents More Crazy Hits was released in 2006. The Crazy Frog has also spawned a range of merchandise and toys, and two video games.

Axel F

"Axel F" is the electronic instrumental theme from the 1984 film Beverly Hills Cop performed by Harold Faltermeyer. The title comes from the main character's name, Axel Foley (played by Eddie Murphy), in the film. It topped musical charts in 1985 and remains a popular remix track. Mixes of "Axel F" topped European pop charts in 2003, and again in 2005 as the Crazy Frog song. In addition to the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack, the song also appears on Faltermeyer's 1988 album Harold F. as a bonus track. Reportedly Faltermeyer was against including it, but MCA insisted, as it was his most recognizable track.

The Black Eyed Peas

The Black Eyed Peas (sometimes known as BEP) are an American pop and experimental hip-hop music group that formed in East Los Angeles, California in 1995. The group is composed of vocalist and multi-instrumentalist will.i.am and vocalists apl.de.ap, Taboo, and Fergie. Since their third album Elephunk in 2003, the group has sold an estimated 35 million albums worldwide and 41 million singles, and 76 million copies with both sales combined. Charles Darwin

Charles Robert Darwin FRS (12 February 1809 – 19 April 1882) was an English naturalist who established that all species of life have descended over time from common ancestors, and proposed the scientific theory that this branching pattern of evolution resulted from a process that he called natural selection. He published his theory with compelling evidence for evolution in his 1859 book On the Origin of Species. The scientific community and much of the general public came to accept evolution as a fact in his lifetime, but it was not until the emergence of the modern evolutionary synthesis from the 1930s to the 1950s that a broad consensus developed that natural selection was the basic mechanism of evolution. In modified form, Darwin's scientific discovery is the unifying theory of the life sciences, explaining the diversity of life.

Darwin's early interest in nature led him to neglect his medical education at the University of Edinburgh; instead, he helped to investigate marine invertebrates. Studies at the University of Cambridge encouraged his passion for natural science. His five-year voyage on HMS Beagle established him as an eminent geologist whose observations and theories supported Charles Lyell's uniformitarian ideas, and publication of his journal of the voyage made him famous as a popular author.

Nik Kershaw (born Nicholas David Kershaw, 1 March 1958, Bristol, England) is an English singer-songwriter. The one time jazz-funk guitarist was a mid-1980s teen idol.His 50 weeks on the UK Singles Chart in 1984 beat all other soloists. Kershaw appeared at Live Aid, and penned hits for Let Loose, The Hollies and a #1 for Chesney Hawkes.

Radiohead

Radiohead are an English rock band from Abingdon, Oxfordshire, formed in 1985. The band consists of Thom Yorke (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, piano, beats), Jonny Greenwood (lead guitar, keyboard, other instruments), Ed O'Brien (guitar, backing vocals), Colin Greenwood (bass guitar, synthesisers) and Phil Selway (drums, percussion).

Radiohead released their first single, "Creep", in 1992. The song was initially unsuccessful, but it became a worldwide hit several months after the release of their debut album, Pablo Honey (1993). Radiohead's popularity rose in the United Kingdom with the release of their second album, The Bends (1995). Radiohead's third album, OK Computer (1997), propelled them to greater international fame. Featuring an expansive sound and themes of modern alienation, OK Computer has often been acclaimed as a landmark record of the 1990s.

Kid A (2000) and Amnesiac (2001) marked an evolution in Radiohead's musical style, as the group incorporated experimental electronic music, Krautrock, post-punk and jazz influences. Hail to the Thief (2003), a mix of guitar-driven rock, electronics and lyrics inspired by war, was the band's final album for their major record label, EMI. The band's first six albums, released via EMI, had sold more than twenty-five million copies by 2007. Radiohead independently released their seventh album, In Rainbows (2007), originally as a digital download for which customers could set their own price, and later in physical form to critical and chart success.

Radiohead's work has appeared in a large number of listener polls and critics' lists. In 2005, Radiohead were ranked number 73 in Rolling Stone's list of "The Greatest Artists of All Time". Radiohead's live shows have also received acclaim. In 2004, Q readers voted the band's headlining performance at the 1997 Glastonbury Festival as the greatest British gig of all time, and in 2008, the band were ranked 14th in Classic Rock's "50 Best Live Acts of All Time". While the band's earlier albums were influential on British rock and pop music,musicians in a wide variety of genres have been influenced by their later work.

Daniel Bedingfield

Daniel John Bedingfield (born 3 December 1979) is a New Zealand born, British singer-songwriter. He is the brother of pop singers Natasha Bedingfield and Nikola Rachelle.

Music career

His song "Gotta Get Thru This" gathered momentum on white label, through the underground UK garage scene, and went on to become a #1 hit in the UK Top 40 in December 2001. He has since had two more no.1 singles ("If You're Not The One" and "Never Gonna Leave Your Side"), as well as three further top 10 hits. His debut album, also titled Gotta Get Thru This, reached #2 in the UK albums chart and went on to sell more than 4 million copies worldwide[citation needed].

In 2003 he appeared on the Delirious? album World Service, singing guest backing vocals on "Every Little Thing". On 23 March 2003, he appeared in an episode of Popworld and he also guest-starred (as himself) on the series Sabrina, the Teenage Witch in the episode "The Lyin', the Witch, and the Wardrobe".

In 2004, Bedingfield won a BRIT Award for Best British Male Artist. He then moved to the Universal Music subsidiary label Polydor Records to release his second album, Second First Impression, which reached #8 in the UK. The album sold poorly compared to his first offering, though did include two UK Top 20 singles ("Nothing Hurts Like Love" reached #3, and "Wrap My Words Around You" peaked at #12). The third and final single, "The Way", became his first to miss the top 40, reaching #41. The album was not released in the U.S.

In an interview with the New Zealand Herald in April 2007, Bedingfield said that, after a three-year hiatus, he now has three albums recorded and awaiting release.[1] Bedingfield also signed with Magus Entertainment and in September 2009 he confirmed on Twitter that his third album "will be a worldwide release" but when asked about the exact release date, Bedingfield replied "The release is subject to record company negotiations". New songs that have been performed live include "Way With Words", "Beautiful", "First Base", "I'll Be Home", "Don't Write Me Off", "Remember", "Dynamite", "Everything's Gonna Be Alright", and "Closure". However, as of July 2010, no new recordings have been released.

Since his last release in 2004, Bedingfield has continued to work with other artists. He co-wrote the song "Works for Me!" for American Idol finalist David Archuleta. He has also worked with Pixie Lott, and contributed guest vocals on a track by a former member of The Roots. From 2009, Bedingfield has begun working with Jamaican reggae artists. In December 2009, he was co-writing material with Tessanne Chin. He also recorded three songs with Busy Signal at DJ Karim's Stainless Records studios in Kingston, Jamaica. The songs are said to be for Busy Signal's upcoming VP Records project as well as Bedingfield's own upcoming project.

Ultrabeat (British band)

Ultrabeat are an English electronic music production group based in Liverpool, who primarily produce dance and house music and are most famous for their 2003 hit, "Pretty Green Eyes".

Their output is generally classed under the genre known as commercial dance. Their earlier efforts are recognised as commercial UK vocal trance productions. Ultrabeat release their work through the All Around The World record label. The group comprises Mike Di Scala, Chris Henry and Ian Redman.

It is notable that their recordings have been constantly supported by Scouse House and Radio City 96.7 DJ, Lee Butler, who helped launch them into stardom. He aired their cover version of "I'm Not in Love" within a few hours of its recording.

The band's debut album, Ultrabeat - The Album, was released on 10 September 2007, and included all of their previously released singles. The collection reached #8 in the UK Albums Chart. Their newest single is a collaboration with happy hardcore producer/singer Darren Styles named "Discolights". It was released on the 23 June 2008 on the AATW label

There was also a Christian group called Ultrabeat on BEC Recordings. This, however, is not the same project.
