Did anyone having chat problem took the latest Java update?

yes, i did an update today. I thought it was flash, but now that you mention it, it was Java. I can read the chat if I scroll all the way down constantly. Should I un-instal the update? Not that I have any idea how to do that : )

i did the java update about 10 days ago :=( haha i'm with you liz, wouldn't have a clue how to un-install

Btw, try doing a system restore. Restore it back to before you did the update of java. Don't know if it will work but it wouldn't hurt to try.

Choose a restore point. Follow the prompts to restart the computer. If you still get an error, return to the "System Restore" tool and choose an earlier restore date.


If restoring to earlier state solve the problem, then some sort of "program update" is causing the bug. We need to find out.

did system restore yesterday and it made no difference :(

system restore did it for me....

chat was fine when i first logged in today, gone off again now. done system restore, took it back to before java update, still not working, so took it back a month, still no joy. guess i'm just gonna have to put up with it. thanks for the help ubuntu, much appreciated :=) xx
