So System Restore works for some but no for others, Windoz for you. :(((
Maybe its time to switch everyone to Linux. :))))

Finny,
Can you pin point the difference between Before and After the restore?

I updated Flash Player this morning. Didn't notice any problem with chat before this, but I haven't been on poker in a few days really. So that's the only cause I can think of.

I used Google Chrome and the chatbox kept scrolling up, then I signed into Firefox and the problem stopped occurring. I recommend stop using Google Chrome :)

well i did go to month earlier but then chat worked and the links didnt open, so i resetted it to 13th august again , and the chat worked again on windows, but the links still dont open in ie7. So now I downloaded firefox and there the links do open but the chat is scrolling up again, so now I use IE7 for playing and firefox for the forum...I know its strange and there must be some kind off solution for this...

oke first a lot of players while sitting on table have to scroll the chatbox all the time cause the chatbox will always be at the start(welcome to the freepokerroom)
If you go to a earlier recoveriedate on PC then the chatbox might work again but some players then cant click any link on the forum cause it wont open in the IE7 browser. resetting agin to current date wont help then cause the links just wont open again.
I then installed firefox.
With firefox I can open the links but then my chatbox is off again.
Now I have both browsers..
Firefox, so I can open links
IE7 so I can chat at tablechat again...(because after the recovery to earlier date chat worked again)

Very strange..

Well, all I did was to restore my system to 4 days earlier. When the system restarted I did NOT upgrade my flash player (it will automatically ask that). Now everything works just as it should for me.

The latest browser plug in update is for FlashPlayer came out on the 11th. It seems to coincide with people starting to have chat problems.
I had not updated either Java or FlashPlayer lately, and I don't have any problem with the chat.
If FlashPlayer update is the culprit, sure hope Justforfun can find the bug soon, because the latest FlashPlayer update addresses 32 security faults. Some of them deal with Trojans and Viruses. In short, we need it. Roll back to earlier configuration is just a temp fix, not a solution.

just my 2 cents.

Hi all,

I have the same problem on google chrome, But you can always use 'firefox' or 'IE' untill the problem is sorted, they seem to work fine for me.

I was using Opera browser and had problems with the chatbox. Also tried Google Chrome and that didn't fix the problem.

Just switched to Internet Explorer and now it works fine for me.

Opera browser? Google Chrome? Guess I need to get out more, but its funny how if you simply just use the internet, things work out fine.

I think its the only way Liz, I did it and my chat worked again, then only i couldnt open links from forum anymore, I then downloaded firefox and there the links opened.
Then after a few days and after the windows autoupdates, my IE7 worked again both on links and chat, BUT...

Dont update java I think or adobe flash i think...cause 1 of those 2 did the damage lol..
