What she did was cruel and she's only 'sorry' because she got caught. However, death threats against the woman or a jail sentence is really taking things too far. It's not like she killed the cat or injured it. Crueller acts are committed everyday, even in our own neighbourhoods.

I find what she did to be despicable and she obviously has a nasty streak/mental issues, but I think this has got out of hand now. A fine from the RSPCA would be an appropriate punishment, but anything more is just crazy.

While people are up in arms about this 'small potato', thousands of people are left dead or homeless in Pakistan due to the floods and those Chilean guys trapped in the mine could be there for 4 months before they are rescued.

It's crazy how this country gets so worked up over something small, while overlooking much bigger problems. Fine the woman, then let her go back to her life. She obviously won't do it again if she has a brain-cell in her head.

EDIT: Forget a fine, a proper punishment would be to put her in a bin for 15 hours and see how she likes it :)

That video is sick (anyone that sees humour in it are seriously needing to have a look at themselves) ... the 'person' in this video must have had a bad life and not overcome it, for her to be that way ... I feel sorry for her, mostly.

I also spend a lot of time in coventry as I study at the city's university, i was disgusted to hear about this brainless act which caused so much distress to this poor cat. Well I have my own story to share with you all, approximately 6 months ago a young cat perched itself next to the window of my house, I heard a desperate meowwwww it was obviously in distress so i thought i'd open the window and in it came, she continued to meow continuously so i fed it some tuna i had lying around in the cupboard, once it had eaten that it ended up relaxing in my room for the whole day.

Night came and it wanted to go out so i let it go, in the following days a pattern emerged where she arrived at my house at exactly 5pm everyday for food and shelter as she knew i would be around for a while at that time (Smart cat). When i finally had time on my hands inbetween my revision I tried to find out if the cat had an owner, when i took it the vet they told me she did but they moved out of the area a long time ago unfortunately, so it was a stray :(

Anyway a few months down the line, my tenancy agreement was coming to an end and i thought who would look after the cat once had left? So I made plans to take it with me to my family home. Today she's jumping all over my keyboard when im trying to play tourneys and one time making me press raise when i wanted to fold consequently putting me out of the diamond mine grrr but im happy she's here lool.

After seeing the story on the news, it makes me think if i did not take the cat from coventry who knows something similar to that might have happened to her by someone with a similar mentality to Mary Bale or even herself. Baring that in mind im glad I made the decision to give the cat a santuary away from evil people like that. x

btw lool adept

i think u are very correct in what you say.

cashmaniac

ahhh a fellow coventry university graduate huh..... nice story but just wondering if i was to come by your window at 5pm everyday, would you feed me with some tuna??

I actually think this story is really getting out of proportion...... cruelty to animals happen everyday but this has made headline news in UK because it was caught on camera. She (Mary Bale) is getting death threats, gonna lose her job and the threat of being prosecuted.... everyone is ranting and raving about this and saying what they want done to Mary Bale but have we forgotten the most important issue here? the main issue in any case.....THE VICTIM.... has anyone bothered to ask Ms Kitty how she feels? does she want Ms Bale to be prosecuted? over to u Ms kitty Cat.

oh yeah

The only complaints I ever saw were from TC himself when officer Dribble starts banging his bin with a night stick. :P
