The green tables are the best, but if you gotta change them then the football one is cool.

after a few runs these tables really SUCK! most are waiting for table 7 seats to avoid these lame "new" tables with rebuy-in, chat box, and waiting problems, not to mention also players cant sit in seat on bottom left of table?!?!?! back to basics please.............

I like the new tables. Would prefer the restaurant style. Agree the choice of female avatars very limited, only 2 to choose from.

The Pamela avatar does not even have a true swimsuit;
It seems they they took a nude avatar, and just painted her body in red.

i understand change in software but can you not get new software that mirrors old tables. good thing about new ones is when you fold your cards still show so you know what would have happened if you stayed. there are also some more plus points once you get used to them

Hi Chuck,

First of all thanks for the improvement on the new tables !! makes it way easier than it was !! Cheers for that !!

Just two quick question about the old "classic" table...

Is this table option will be enable for a long while or you will remove it at some point ??

and...

Is this table fully compatible with the new software except for the cusom avatar option ??

Asking these question from information I got on another site and would like to know if these informations are true.

Thanks !!

Hi,

The only obsolete client version is the Classic Red which was what I used on PlugInPoker a long time ago, and brought over to the new site here because people like it. It would be so much work to update it with the last 1.5 years of updates I've made to the software just to make it work with the new system, that I'm leaving it the way it is. I guess I should remove the red version but I figure I'll leave it to the site owners to decide if they want the chat bug and the red client, or no bug annd the new version.

I'm also planning on making it possible for people to use their own poker table background graphic, and/or to upload photos to use at the table, when I get some spare time.

I don't understand your last question: " Is this table fully compatable with the new sosftware except for the custom avatar option" . I'll take a guess at your meaning and reply that the old red classic version only has one limitation right now, which is that the chat scrolling no longer works proplerly because of a bug in the new Flash player (yes I said it, a bug in the new flash player NOT my code- its affecting a lot of software developers around the world). So for now other than the chat scrolling its still good. But the old red version will never have any of the improvements of the new version or new features coming up.

So in conclusion,
-The red tables will always be availlable for owners who want to use it for their site.
-No improvement will be made on those tables.

So everyone qho likes the old tables have to wish the next version of java will solve this problem.

No Java is involved anywhere here.

Basically what chuck is saying is that these new tables and this new software is the future lol. If we stick with the old tables no matter how much we may like them, we have to deal with this chat box bug, and possible many bugs to come in the future if we do not update. I see no since of keeping the old tables if soon we would be able to make our own tables skins if we just update and have some patience.

The improvement we are awaiting for are mostly server-side,
not client-side. In particular, the bug of the last side pot that is
sometime either stolen by table or awarded to a player that is not
eligible to that pot. Or the bug of the "muck-winning hand"
when a player manages to win a side pot without showing his cards
while he's not alone in that pot.

Therefore, when the server will be fixed, for these issue
the red carpet tables will benefit from them too.

Isnt me who said this line it was Chuck the Justforfunsoftware owner/programmer who said this line.

And yes serve side both comes from the same one, so yes the red tables will benifit from it too. This doesnt solve the chat scrolling problem. And unless Flash Player change on their side this problem will still be there cuz chuck wont work on the red tables (thats what he say for now)

Yeah, and I say he should sort his priorities right,
not focusing on client-side features,
but fixing the side pot bugs of the engine.

As for the chat issue, I cannot imagine Abode wont fix this bug
in a next revision, as it impacts all applications using this feature,
not only this poker app.

The new table "format" is horrible.

I'm used to the "old" style tables.

I only play Omaha anyway, but, I assume if the "new format" is voted in, then all the tables will change ?.

I really hope not.

Anyway, just my opinion.

Mark.

See, I was thinking that it's not Adobe with the bug, but rather the client...i.e the tables -do not like the new Adobe upgrade.

The thing is, are we all going to have to go without upgrading our Adobe player -thus it affecting any other website you visit -and when the old Adobe is not supported at all..how will that effect us all?

And what about *new* people finding this place, seeing the chat broken -and leave thinking this place is just plain wonky?

Are old tables worth that amount of bother?

You misunderstood me...
I thought since the old tables are keeping everybody from making a standard Adobe Flash upgrade; which affects all browsing...it may not have been worth keeping the old tables.

No need to shout though, and many people enjoy the banter, anyway...lol.
