patrickbateman: retiring
...lol, felt like that myself (for a little while), after battling to get a decent stack, only then to get ripped off by a software glitch. I hadn't heard of it before and I've been on here since 2008.
I've got the majority of my chips from tournies: I'll play omaha turbo when the table isn't dead (because its fun) but its rare that I play these holdem bingo tables - its not poker, just cat'and'mouse aggression with the big stacks trying to swipe each other's stack, esp. the second pots.
Thing is, the site seems more quiet these days, so, I'm more inclined to play a bit of bingo if waiting for a tourney, through lack of choice, mainly.
I get worried when I see people that are holdem turbo regulars that come to a tourney and they play it like its a trubo e.g. patrick himself yesterday on the DM went allin with 8 6 clubs during level 1 ... my A 10 o/s took him out ... but that was a bingo pen effort, in my opinion.
As I did on turbo 5 last night - you can get £200k from a table like that, no worries and then have 4 attempts at the DM from it. Easy come, easy go, I guess. You then see the players that have maybe earned their chips the hard way and have just enough to play the DM lose to bad beats and it kinda spoils it, in a way (you feel bad for them in particular).
I suppose everyone's strategy is their own business and this site caters for most styles - so, its all good in da hood.

Pet Peeve:
Pot Limit Omaha can be far too slow: some ppl let the clock run down to just 'check' and it seems to take forever for the pot to build to anything decent, when half the table are doing that.
The pot limit element is great, but, its just the clock on it giving everyone far too long a timeframe to make their move. Shame.

Suggestion: One thing I've seen on another site is an
ALLIN OR FOLD TOURNEY table - that would be nice and quick and if it was a low buying e.g. £5k - £10k ... then the winner would get £20k - £40k profit from a quick tourney. Something different, anyway.
