CAN SOMEONE HELP? I AM QUITE NEW TO THE INTERNET AND WANT TO FIND OUT HOW TO CONNECT TO THE POKER ROOM CHAT AND HOW TO PLACE MY OWN BET AMOUNTS. INFO WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED.

Hi jesjames. Right you don't need to connect to the chat, if you have vista and the little chat doesn't come up close the window and reload it. You will be able to chat straight away.

To bet your own amounts there is a bar down the bottom when its your turn, what u do is drag it to increase the bet or change the number in the little window next to the bar to what ever amount you want.

Hello, i just wanted to say I've been using this site for a few months now and really enjoy playing here. I was new to poker when i signed up but think I've played enough free games to try a cash game. can you give me a bit of advice about how different the two are. (obviously it's much better when you win a cash game :0))

Welcome to the forum harsh!

The difference between cash games and free poker is that people usually play more seriously in cash games since real money is at stake. This means it is more difficult to win in a real money game.

What I recommend you to do harsh is to try a micro limit game at PokerStars. In a micro limit game you can play with really small stakes and get used to playing with cash without risking much money.

Games at the smallest stakes are pretty similar to free games since the money that can be won or lost is very insignificant. When you are used to micro limit you can move up to higher stakes, but remember that the games gets more difficult with higher stakes.

Hello harsh, well the diffrence between the two is that free games are more likely for fun and noone will be too serious. But in cash games people take it more serious and therefore it is alot harder. If you really want to start playing cash games go to PokerStars and even play a few free games there as they are much harder than here too. Then if you win try a cash game. Start low and build your way up the more you win. Hope this helps Rossi

Emil, would it be possible for you to assign a NEW Mod who participates in the PokerRooms when Keywest and GrandeMaster signoff, since it will "reduce" a lot of frustrations and rudeness at the tables??? not to mention the constant Re-Buys and NOT standing up when requested,,

Yeah I get you SpunkyAce but they work during the days so its hard for them to get on the comp to mod on a poker site.

I try to get on as much as possible during the day but my college has banned the site because it is classed as gambling (no idea why tho).
