I posted this on a private aviation forum, had some very interesting replies.

Personally, Hong Kong's old Kai Tak airport was the most dangerous I had ever made an approach to.
The fact that runway 13, the normal active runway; never had a workable ILS in place, speaks for the over all difficulty.

Heres how the landing would go:

Thread between buildings at outer marker.

600 ft above ground steep turn at Checker Hill, middle marker.

Final Approach at 150 ft above ground after the turn.

The Landing.

Change underwear in the terminal WC.
No picture.:)))

Now tell us about your nitemare airport landing.

I landed at Brisbane airport once but will never go there again. The place is full of banana benders and peanut growers.

I have never been to St Maarten but this has to be a crazy place to land or take off.

For airline operators, St. Maarten's Princess Juliana International Airport is considered to be the most dangerous commerical jetport in the world.
At first look, it may seem more dangerous to people on the ground.

But the short runway and lag of over shot at both end makes this airport very unforgiving.

You jet jockeys will never be there, but LVX (Leadville, CO) gets very interesting.

Not everyone started with basic jet, you know.

Indeed.
Just beware it is almost 10k ft ASL, calculate your loading accordingly.
Also, at that altitude, weather and wind is always a concern. Make sure FOB is open before you get there, so you can get the latest condition on the field via unicom.

The rest will be cool.
