Good luck all,

Just wanna say, it was great sportmanship of Rainday in R2 against Taplin tonight.
He was winning (1900 chips to 1100) when Tap lost connection.
Tap sat out too many hands and was eliminated but when he came back, Rainday offered to replay the game.... and that was great to see. Brilliant mate.

Texas_hold2009 ,

I cannot play at the "pre-arranged" times listed (20:00 GMT or 21:30 GMT), because they fall in the middle of the afternoon during the workweek in my time zone (USA Pacific).

I would like to arrange to play our game on Friday June 15th, at another time that we can schedule and book the table for.

The best hours (to start our game) for me would be 00:00 GMT through 06:30 GMT (this would be 5 PM through 11:30 PM Pacific time).
But if need be, I'm willing to set my alarm and wake-up in the middle of the night (in the early night hours of Sat June 16th) to play our game. So hours between 07:00 GMT through 12:00 GMT are also possible (this would be 12:00 Midnight through 5 AM Pacific time).

I hope this is acceptable to you. Please pick a time, and I will ask Tia to schedule and book our game.
Thanks, Los28.

Dear Los28

it's impossible for me playing at 00.00 GMT time it's too late for me .I can only play as scheduled program at 21.30 GMT / 22.30 UK(after first game) on Thursday 14th June .

Oh darn. I missed this set up.

I organized a real tourney using this format with very interesting results.

It was a great Texas Hold'em tourney to participate in since there was no waiting around for the best cards. Instead, every hand was playable.

In the end, however, luck or bad luck dominated since two reasonable all-in hands would go at it and the board is random.

Sometimes players choose to "run it twice" to smooth out statistical abhorrations.

Don't expect TFPR to have that capability.

Good luck all. Need to keep my eye more focused on what's happening tourney-wise.

Texas_hold2009 ,

The times that I have listed as an alternative was just not 00:00 GMT. Maybe you misread or didnt read my entire post.
I have allowed for a full 12 hour window , for us to play our game.

This would be between 00:00 GMT through 12:00 GMT (Sat June 16th). If at 12:00 GMT, this would be 8 hours before the next round (Semi-Finals) would begin, which I would think would be acceptable to the tournament.

I think I could actually do the same hours for the previous day also.
So I have two, 12 hour windows available to play. This would be :

Between 00:00 GMT through 12:00 GMT (Fri June 15th),
-- OR --
Between 00:00 GMT through 12:00 GMT (Sat June 16th).

I'm hoping that you can work with me here, and choose a time that falls within either of these time frames. This span is a total of 24 hours (12 hours X 2 = 24 hours).

Question to Harrisson and/or Tia ,

To allow a larger window to see if Texas_hold2009 and I can play our game, do you mind if we can play our game even right-up to the start of the Semi-Final round ?

In other words, would it be OK to expand my window to play our game on Saturday June 16th to anytime between 00:00 GMT through 18:30 GMT. If we played our game at 18:30 GMT, this would be 1-1/2 hours before the Semi-Final round would begin.

You can still randomly choose names for the next round well before we play our game, and you can simply just put Texas and my name on one piece of paper, into the hat. So when you choose and list names for the Semi-Final round, one of the lines would read something like this :

John Doe vs. winner of Los28/Texas_hold2009 game

Hi Los, yeah good idea mate.
If you and Tex can't find a suitable time before Saturday, then it's fine to play your quarter on the Saturday, a couple hours before the scheduled semi's.
Tia can still do the semi draw on the Friday (as you said have Los/Texas vs ..... ).

The winner of course would be playing there semi just an hour or few after your quarter though.... so hope both of you could make yourself available for that game too.

I think an hour window is just about enough for these heads up games, so you could play anytime on Saturday up to 19.00 GMT/20.00 UK time (the 1st semi is due to start an hour later).

Edit:
The reason the times were pre set for all the heads up games was we thought that people are used to having a specific time to play there games on the scheduled tables, league, world cup, aretha cup etc.
We didn't want the tourney dragging on too long, and if we left all the games (especially the early rounds) up to the players to organise by themselves, it may take longer,
This way, it's kind of like a guide....but that's all it is, if the times are unsuitable for the players then of course it's up to them to pick a better time/day, no problem.

This tourney is already in the Quarter Finals. For this tourney its too late to enter.
There may be another heads up tourney next month so keep an eye on the forum then register if you see a new thread started....but be quick cos this one had 32 players sign up in under a day.

To be able to play in tourneys you need to sign up in the New Players Registration Thread, ask to be added to the league and leave an email or msn address so someone can send you the password for the World Cup Scheduled Tourney table (where the heads up games are played).

New Players Registration Thread ....
