TheDeville:
feel I have to say something about bry's lack of good taste and sportsmanship at table tonight..
I have no worries about losing to a decent hand and he had to call my allin with the other 5 in his hand.. All I said was jammy git, but also nh and gl all... there was no gg from him.. and he was the only one that didnt say it...
His comment though about my chips being sweet in his hand was not very sportsmanlike and shows a lack of manners at the table that I didnt expect.... Those of you that know me do know that I lose well(if anyone can really lose well), but I have to say that had this been a live game and heard that comment I probably would have punched him... I have asked my captain not to play me again against you guys as I dont wish to sit at a table with him.. If he cant win well, how will he ever be able to lose with dignity?? Its a shame because you have not only some great players but are alot of fun as well..
Holy Hellfire
When I first started reading this I thought it was a joke...till the punching bit.
I understand how much it bites to be taken out like that, but I assure you Bry is all jokes and fun. I'm sure he didn't mean to slight you. Sometimes, when you think you're dead in the water and the river scoops you up like that, there is a moment of shock....when you forget to say the niceties...and when you do remember, it seems redundant.
We're not a particularly competitive bunch, but we are known to have our fun. Bry is our biggest (and i mean that literally, the guy is huge) joker and I've never seen him be deliberately disrespectful.
I've said the same things about opponents chips after winning them (or when trying to). In my case it was in no way meant as a slight (nor was my comment today about your chips being charbroiled), but rather as a joke to a friend.
Hope we can have you over to the mud-pit so the two of you can sit on cacti while meditating the meaning of poker
