LEAGUE 2009/10 FORMAT and the FUTURE

I am waiting for registration to finalise format, however I had a question about next season and how I plan it. I need numbers to finalise but will inform you all as requested.

The Teams will be split into two leagues say 8 in each.

It will consist of Hold em and Omaha.

Each league will alternate the tables on two weekly cycles.

The top 2 teams from each league will have a round robin play off final at seasons end, this will decide the team champion for this season ( This will be both hold em and Omaha).

At seasons end the top half of each league will form a 1st Division and bottom a 2nd Division for season 2010/11. A promotion and demotion will take affect. Bottom 2 from 1st relegated and top 2 from 2nd promoted. So u have a lot to play for next year gang.

All new teams will join 2nd division. If numbers increase I will deal with it at the time, but I think the site only has the structure for 16 teams.

Any questions put them here please.

Not sure i understand...is there to be a combination Hold 'Em & Omaha league? Or are you setting up two leagues with two divisions each? Or is my brain too small for my head?

I have been to Omaha...nice summers but not a lot to do.

Hahahah bento i love you! Ok, two leagues split evenly, both will play alternats weeks Omaha and Holdem (that frees up tables, so easier to organise).

Obviously if one leagoe is playing Omaha the other is playing holdem, and vice versa. So my friend as an organiser, you want any more info? colour of my boxers, how I nuzzle necks first or when we are getting married to corvette?

Ultimately we will have the top two playing each other for the prize, thats in both formats, so that equats to a round robin of matches to end the league i.e. 4 teams = omaha/hold em = 6 matches head to head with a seperate league table.......................I need a rest :(

Maybe you could restructure GM or the UN in your spare time while you're setting this all up...

Think I get it now, if not, this next question will reveal that I don't: Is the Omaha league to be made up of entirely new teams? Or are the existing teams meant to compete in both leagues?

Can we wear the same outfits for each league or do we need two uniforms?

hahahah. The format or teams remain the same, only difference is instead of playing hold em every fortnight, you play hold em one fortnight and next game is Omaha, then back to hold em etc. So u play each team in the league once at hold em, once at Omaha. Results or scores are as before and are totalled the same. no Separate Omaha or hold em leagues or scores, all combined.
