After the controversy of my post on this subject, I noted all have different ideas on its usage. Lets start it now before league starts.

I want simple answers or yes and no.

1: A player once registered with a team is not allowed to play for another team in league season....Yes/No

In answer to above do we take personal fall outs and circumstances into account? If so I can pass it to our new Appeals/Disciplinary committee for a review. Short answer if possible

2: Are captains allowed to poach in off season? ...Yes/No

3: If a player leaves a team in off season are they a free agent?...Yes/No

4: The end of season Cup tourneys, should they be restricted to those players who represented their team in regular season?...Yes/No

If new players are allowed, I would like to restrict it to new players only. if you don't agree then comment. short answer please

I have kept it simple, please do the same. If you have other thoughts then add at bottom.

Just a reminder. I set this up using my proven experience in running leagues. I have kept it simple and have not allowed interference for its first year. I am releasing responsibility in certain areas and it will run smoother than before.

What I will add is this, I am not ready to walk away just yet, so don't try and change things. If you are not happy then go to another site.

With reference to number 4, if you move on in the close season you should only qualify to play for the new team, you have moved on so leave it like that,if you dont qualify for cup matches then that is because you have made your choice and moved, but the chances are that you will be happy because you got the move that you were looking for in the first place and to miss a couple of matches is a small price to pay for happiness or contentment!.

2) Yes (recruit being the term)

3) Yes

1: A player once registered with a team is not allowed to play for another team in league season....Yes

2: Are captains allowed to poach in off season? ...No
I think for the sake of the league, peace and future lolling, it's better not to make it so cut-throat. Poaching, recruiting, flashing and soliciting breeds contempt and resentment; something we don't need.

3: If a player leaves a team in off season are they a free agent?...Yes
I think only players who put themselves up as free agents should be eligible for recruitment/flashing/skinning. I think that will limit the first-name-calling somewhat and keep the suds out of the forum.

4: The end of season Cup tourneys, should they be restricted to those players who represented their team in regular season?...Yes
Free agents can announce their plans before the cup, show their chops (or chop chops in one case) during and leave after.

sorry I'm so long winded, Slicemeister, my head is just so full of random words, i try to get them out when I can.
Please read your contract carefully, you can't leave until you have run naked through the forum with Mojo on your back

1.
Unless that person has been deemed to be an unsavory League Player. (With the ruling coming from the committee) Or does this mean they cannot play for two teams at the same time?...if that's the case then, Yes...of course they shouldn't be allowed.

2.
Yes, poaching is a terribly wrong way to put that. People are recruited from professional teams everyday and this should be absolutely no different. It creates animosity not necessary, when sometimes...a player is simply not a good fit.

3.
Leaving a team under good terms, should make it so that a player can be picked up. People leave teams (the entire site) for various reasons, and to not allow this may leave some teams short; mid-season.

4.
This is why there was a cut-off date just before the cup. Again, it's nice for the original team to play -but as we've seen so many teams play their Cup short one or two players, it would behoove all to allow add ons until that set date.

1: A player once registered with a team is not allowed to play for another team in league season....No

The dual-captain consent rule was fine. Also the concept of having 2 transfer windows (like in soccer) seems like a good idea to me if players leaving a team is such a great concern.

2: Are captains allowed to recruit in off season? ...Yes

3: If a player leaves a team in off season are they a free agent?...Yes

However once you play a cup match with one team, I feel you should be 'cup-tied', just like in football.

General comment - we are mostly adults playing here (some are minors, I believe). Freewill should be embraced and being realistic, team changes don't happen too often, really; when they do, they will probably be for good reason and unless you are in their shoes, how can you judge?

I have had a lot of my players "approached" (the people doing the approaching were friends too - and still are); none of my guys left, but if they did, I would have been totally fine about it: I would have wished them luck and then invited a fresh face in.

The league is for fun and for happy teams to have fun and be nice to each other.

A short comment to my answers:
I think its better if players can leave a team where they are not feeling well (also better for the teamspirit and the fun it should be).
If captains wanne recruit players from another team thats fine with me that way it shows the captains who is loyal to a team or not and a happy (loyal player)would never leave his/her team for another team there is always a reason
