This is not an argument princess. people are putting foward idea. Eg froogy put forward a good point and though our views differ we will all be happy with how the league points go.

So, now the question : Who deserves to win the league, the best team play or the most winning games?

ok heres what I mean first off I like the question buts I think it goes hand and hand. For example in order to win the most games you gotta have good team work right? You can have the best players in the game but could work horribly together. So in this format I dont believe you can win alot of games without great team play. The problem with your question in my opinion is the word best. There can only be one winner of the league but does not mean they are the best. So I say the team with the most points at the end of the day deserves to win the league and that team has great team play but not the best cause no one is perfect or one team is.

Ok, listen. Back off Tiandra, without her u wouldn't have a league. When times were tough she helped me so much. Don't meddle with history or a proven system, take your input and stuff it up your self inflated asses.

Man no wonder I left. The same people post the same thing over and over. You will never be happy until you have taken over everything.

Tiandra I feel for you hun, you work night and day to keep all working, all happy and all you get is the posters wanting more. :(

Ok vent your feelings on me cos I don't give a s+++ anymore.

I was looking back at a thread where u were having fun, guess thats all over now.

Youve tried to bait a few times and ive ignored. Well done grumpster bait taken.

For your information, I support the current scoring system.

Other posters just make comparisons with the other existing scoring system in WC,
or investigate other models to study the consequences if they were applied.
They do no harm, and this talk is quite constructive.

Hovis,

Everyone on this site knows how much work Tia puts into the league and a lot of other things around here and treats her with respect at all times.
But with you Hovis i have a question, where are you from? Where is this place where no one ever questions what is being done or offers an opinion, whether good or bad.How do you seem to be able to read what is not written, i have read every word in this thread and cant find one place where anyone attacked Tia in any way.
I myself will not play in a league where people are subjugated, the only reason for a minor league is the abundance of teams and a shortage of time. Here i do not see this being an issue, the WC has shown that a single league will work and most sports in the world have two leagues with the winners of each meeting for the championship.
Lastly, the owner of this site asked for the members to come forward and give suggestions to help improve the site, and i can see it has done a lot of good in getting people to get involved in what they spend there valuable time doing. I believe your post to be the only one that has broken the rules and spirit of this forum.

ffs everytime you say you gonna stay gone you come back to show us the way when we are lost with your moral compass. Nothing is wrong with the league because you made it and thats means its perfect. How many times have you said you were through with this site, keep your word, or play here without enlightening us every chance you get.

As far as the proven system is concerned,
-- previous season worked well with 1 single league where all teams are on equal footing.
-- current season worked well with 2 parallel leagues where all teams are on equal footing.

What is not proven is whether two leagues, not on equal footing, will run smoothly...
because one will compete for champ title and non-demotion,
while the other will just fight for promotion,
and some might feel bitter about it...

I find that to be a very valid point. It's definitely demoralizing to teams, if it's played out this way...in my opinion.

Just my two cents:
It seems like part of the disagreement/discussion about the format of the league is a cultural thing. For Europeans, especially football (soccer) fans, the idea of having a 1st and 2nd division will probably seem perfectly natural, because that's how football and lots of other sports are organised here.

In the US, as far as I know, major league sports don't work that way, so it seems like there would be a 'winners' and 'losers' league. Personally I can see advantages and disadvantages to both.

1 big league:
every team plays every other team
at the start of the season, every team has chance to win championship

two divisions:
in theory, should mean more close, exciting games because teams are similar abilities
at the end of the season, more teams have something to play for. In the 1st div. for example 2 or 3 teams might be fighting for the championship and another 3 or 4 trying to avoid demotion. While in 2nd div. 3 or 4 teams are fighting for promotion.
In one big league if you're in 7th or 8th place, you're just playing for pride at that stage of the year.

Sorry if all that was obvious or has been said somewhere else.

Two Leagues?....okay.

Are they separated by the one's who fell in lower standing verses higher standing *this* past season? Or, is this a draw to see where people stand?

It would be good to know if Omaha is still on the agenda, because that changes who wants to join, (this is true) or who wants to be on certain teams....and acquiring new people is going on right this now.

---------
I suppose, it doesn't really matter.
They will work it out, and only a handful of people seem to care (i.e post) -as it is.

As it seems to stand, there is a bottom league for those who didn't fair very well...though I feel bad for anybody who is categorized; this way.

Uhh....

Ah, Hell...I spend too much of my life on Tourney arrangements at work, as it is.
This is supposed to be for fun.

I wish the best of the League for everybody concerned, and I know we all enjoy it. So...here's to next season!

It's just a living, my friend.
Here, it's this fun Universe where I've met some of the coolest of people.

I wouldn't trade that for the World.
And I think I'd even play Pai Gow poker, if it meant playing with all these fine people.

Chinese poker though?
Let's add that, I'm good at it....lol.
