Well folks like it or not the coin was tails and so we are henceforth known as the Tartan Army.
Unlucky in our first practice tonight as although we got first and second we got beat 20 19.Great game by Bumfluffbob with no msn for any coaching and everybody did well for a first ever game.
I'm sure its onwards and upwards for us.

can i ask a silly question, and apologies i am new at this. i see comments of some people on teams who play for themslves and get all the chips. is that not what you are supposed to do. or is it you bet against the table only if there are other team members there, then if hand is down to people on same team you don't bet??

Because a team game is calculated by points for placing as regards going out you obviously want most of your players to survive longest.Playing a team game involves passing chips,if you have a lot,to one of your weaker teammates to enable them to stay in.This is the reason people get upset at non-team players as one scenario would be you raising,under the all-in level of a teammate,to force the opposition to fold and then folding next round to pass the chips.
Judge and Jury did the raise thing but then raised again on final pass putting his teammate out.
I've folded a few full houses letting the chips go to a weak comrade as I know they'd do same for me.I've also kept betting,knowing I'd lose,just to stop a pass by the opposition.
It's a much more interesting way to play as you dont just consider winning but also keeping team strong.

Enjoyed the practice the other day. Team play seems harder that playing for yourself but also more strategic. I enjoyed it, very interesting. Cant wait till the next one.

Pardon - work from 9pm to 7am Sun/Mon/Tues. And Mon 6 - 9 also out. Any other time for practice is good.

Friday at 9 is fine by me. I take it this is a practice? I've finally got round to joining the group.

Looking at New Players registration thread it seems that adder has decided not only she's not available Friday but she's left the team.

After the game on Friday I'm afraid I'll be resigning.I obviously upset Adder in some way and she was the actual originator of the team not me.I hope she'll come back and run the team as she is a very good player and organisor.
